Welcome to the Limit Label of Fame: Unique Appeal

Creating an Beautiful Outfit: A Tutorial Requested by Style N Fit

To start out with, you need to have an idea in your head what the outfit will be whether fancy or casual, dark or light, dull or bright, summer or winter you need to start with something. 

In this tutorial i will be showing you how to make this outfit, along with how to make your own with the 11 different things you can customize on your Fashion Story avatar.

The first 4 are your avatar's hair, eyes, lips and skin color. Though skin/hair color does not make an outfit, choose your lipstick and eye shadow carefully. I usually go simple until I finish my outfit and then go back and fancy it up if I want.

The next 3 things to customize are your avatar's shirt/dress, pants/leggings/tights, and shoes. This is where making your outfit really begins. Look around for a shirt to start off your outfit, and remember that anything you do can be changed so fell free to try something new!

In this case I went for the green dress/shirt (it depends on the outfit) to start out my outfit. Now to choose the pants. Like shirt you can try several different options until you find what you want.

In this case I found what I wanted pretty fast because I knew what I was going to do for this outfit. By  this time I had already decided to do blue and green, and I think it shows. Now for the shoes...

The next and last 4 things to choose are your accessories, such as purses, necklaces, bracelets, hats, glasses, etc. 

Always keep an eye out for affordable items that you can buy to go with your outfits, but at the same time remember you don't need every item in the closet.

Now that you've completed your outfit, you can either discard it and start over by pushing the grey arrow near the avatar's head or tap the pink X in the top right hand corner and save your avatar.

March Round 1, March Special: Fix This Outfit!

This last week, I didn't post my opinion about the last update partly because I didn't have time, partly because I had this round theme in mind.

Honestly the new outfit was pitiful. However, the shoes and purse seem to go pretty well with a lot of my outfits. This first round I want you to take one or two items out of the last 4 updates and put them in a beautiful outfit. I am really looking forward to what you come up with!

Required Items: One or two items from the last 4 weekly closest updates. 

Post "Fix it Felix" when you are done, you have 24 hours to turn in your outfit. 3 players will be eliminated, so be creative and enjoy!

Examples: whether the outfit is casual or fancy, metal items are gold or silver, just remember to be creative. Explore multiple options, fiddle around and above all have fun! ~ Sky's Limit

Fashionista O' February: Lovelicious

On January 24, 2014, 15 contestants prepared their outfits for the first round all hoping to be named Fashionista O' February. At first I thought that last months winner, Sparkle, would win by a landslide. However, Lovelicious moved up in the point department and past Sparkle.

In the collage above and on the left is Lovelicious' outfit for Round 1, Holiday: Valentine's Day, in the middle is her outfit for Round 2, Undercover: Waitress and on the right is her outfit for Round 3, February Special: Pink Casual.

In the collage below on the left is her outfit for Round 4, Outing: Sleepover and on the right her outfit for  Round 5: Theme of Your Boutique, Lovelicious' theme was Valentine.

Welcome to the Limit Label of Fame: Rawcoutour

This outfit was taken on Jan 20, 2014 during a random visit. I love how she combined these colors, it looks so chic! Congrats Rawcoutour for making a very cute outfit!

Weekly Update: Pure Amour

These last few months weekly closet updates have been really disappointing, and this weeks just didn't cut it for me. I honestly don't understand Team Lava's inability to come up with just one cute Valentine's Day outfit!

The only thing which I liked about this new outfit is that the two coin items (the shirt and headband) where decently priced and affordable for the middle group of players in Fashion Story. The gem items are in my opinion are among the least useable pieces of clothing we have in our closets. 

In my example on the left I used the new shirt in a chic business outfit. This seemed to be the only outfit that the shirt really worked with in my current closet. On the right I used the new headband in a casual and pink outfit which I would wear on any week day. ~ Sky's Limit

February Round 5: Theme of Your Boutique

Let's hear a round of applause to our three finalists: Sparkle, Fashion Kingdom, and Lovelicious!

Round 5: Theme of Your Boutique! You are to dress to represent your boutique's unique theme to the press! Post the Theme of Your Boutique when you are done (ex. Green and Blue Beach Chic), you have 24 hours to change.

This round I will be adding up your overall scores so no eliminations, You are the top 3! Remember only one person can be named Fashionista O' February, so chose your outfits wisely and be creative!  

Example: Because everyone has a unique theme, your outfit should not look exactly like mine. However here are some basic ideas to help you dress your avatar in the theme of your boutique. First, "Does your boutique have any distinct colors?" in my case blue and green are prominent colors in my decor and displayed clothes items. Second, "Is some of your decor specific to a certain climate/habitat?" in my case turtles, sea shells, palm trees and bamboo can all be found on the beach. You could also dress in items that can commonly be found in your store. Don't forget to add a pop of color (like the rose in my outfit) to make your outfit stand out!

Weekly Update: Classy Valentine

This weeks update was another huge disappointment... The dress and bracelet costs gems and The purse doesn't even really go with the outfit. The only thing I like was the shoes... One of my avatars outfits feature the new shoes and the other the new purse. Honestly, TeamLava's outfit design is going downhill... Fast.

February Round 4, Outing: Sleep Over!

You and a couple of your best friends are having a sleepover at your besties house! Dress for either the board games, walks and talks or in your pajamas for the awesome movies and nail painting!

Required Items: this round there are no required items and you are not required to do both of the a for mentioned outfits. Choose one and have fun!

Post "BEE!" if you are dressed for the first option, and post "Sleeping Beauty" if you are dressed for the second option! 

You have 24 hours to change, have fun and remember that 3 players will be eliminated! Also congratulations on making it to the semi-finals: Chictique, Fashion Kingdom, moor, Passion, Sparkle and Lovelicious! 

Example 1 The Daytime Outfit: Casual and relaxing, this outfit is a lot like what I wear day-to-day during the week. Comfortable shirt, simple shorts, and some jewelry. The bag I have in my hand has my pj's in it, perfect for a relaxing day!

Example 2 The Nightime Outfit: simply a shirt and comfortable pants, which I wouldn't mind getting nail polish on... :) 

Hint: Be creative and go out of the box, but do not go totally away. Remember to be modest yet fun and most of all, add a dash color!
