I made this page is to help my contestants understand how and why I do what I do when I do a contest and to help me, since I always do better when the rules are very clear. If you have questions or need to clarify something, please leave a comment. (This list is subject to change and is currently still under production.)
1. Modesty. As any of you who have been reading my Contest Round Points and Eliminations, you may have noticed the occasional -2 or -1 for low modesty after the contestants points for the round. when I first started doing this I just deducted points and didn't even tell my contestants, but then I decided to give my reasoning to the contestants. I do it this way to give them an idea of how close they where to the theme—which is very important to me—but at the same time take points off for low modesty.
2. Be on Time or Be Ready to Face Elimination With a Good Attitude. Every round I give my contestants 24 hours to get dressed and post on my wall. 24 hours. Though sometimes there won't be eliminations it really disappoints me if a contestant doesn't make it on time. If you suddenly lose wifi or something totally out of the norm happens I will understand, but otherwise I will be fair to the other contestants and eliminate or just not give you points.
3. Polite: Please be polite and respectful of the other contestants. I want my contests to be a place of fun and friendship with a little friendly competition. If you anger or mistreat one of the other contestants there will be consequences ranging from points taken from your score to disqualification.
4. Don't Be Afraid To Ask Questions: pretty self explanatory, don't you think?
5. Have Fun! If you don't have fun please tell me why and maybe give me a suggestion as to how I could improve my contest. I host contests for the fun of watching others enjoy being creative and coming up with some of the most adorable outfits I have ever seen.

ReplyDeleteI have written several posts about starting blogging, but not specifically for Fashion Story. I have worked with both Wordpress and Blogger (the goggle blog) and have found that though Wordpress gives you more flexibility and customizing options, Blogger is easier to use and works very well. So if you have more time and money to spend Wordpress may be a good idea, but for me Blogger (which is free) is more practical for this kind of thing. This blog is a Blogger blog and below are some links to another places I contribute which are Wordpress blogs. I would suggest reading about both these and any others you find and then picking what is right for you.
